Nationwide Conference match

    BACKGROUND AND TEAM NEWS

Because this fixture was postponed only last Saturday and therefore rearranged very quickly, I was unable to attend. So, I am afraid that the best that I can do is to provide some team information and refer you to match reports elsewhere. Firstly on the Altrincham FC Official Web Page and secondly on the Sports.Com web-site. Barring disasters, reports on all four remaining Conference fixtures should appear here as soon as possible after the event.

    TEAM NEWS

Simeon Hodson was fit enough to start, allowing Chris Timons to return to his best position in the centre of defence. Mark Maddox, after his sending-off the previous Monday, was reduced to substitute, whilst Mick Morrell had recovered sufficiently from injury to join him on the bench. Leroy Chambers returned up-front and Keith Mairs, from the reserves, got a taste of Conference atmosphere as substitute.
